DIY Twine Vase

DIY TWINE VASE!!

photo

This project is super easy and only took about an hour!

What you’ll need:

– Empty Oatmeal canister

– Twine, 50 feet

–  Hot glue

– foam

– silk flowers

I Started by trying to rip off the oatmeal paper but it was really hard and pointless because the twine covered it all.

STEP 1:  TWINE

Get your twine ready, I used this brand from Hobby Lobby

STEP 2: HOT GLUE

Start by gluing the end of the twine to the top of the oatmeal canister. I glued the end of the twine too so it wouldn’t unravel. Next you hot glue the canister about two inches and press the twine to it, keep the twine as close and straight to the top as you can. once you get the top circle done and you are beginning the second really try and get the twine as close to the top as you can so it stays as straight as possible. Continue gluing pressing, gluing pressing, gluing pressing, on and on and on until you get to the bottom.

STEP 3: END IT

Like the beginning, when you get to the end layer use the hot glue around the end so it doesn’t unravel.

STEP 4: FOAM AND FLOWERS
Get a rectangle of foam and cut in half. Then cut off corners and slide the two cornerless squares into the canister on top of each other. Next use wire cutters to trim the flower stems to the length you like. Push the stems in to the foam to arrange it to your liking.

ALL DONE!  now you have a cute center peice for a coffee table, or an arrangement to dress up an area of your house. ENJOY!

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR PROJECTS!
